As of 1 January 2024 there will be an introduction of a CPD cap of 10 points that can be accrued per triennium for workplace training, both in-person and online (Category 1B).

To ensure that any existing CPD points you have accrued for this category aren’t impacted, this cap will be introduced at the beginning of each new triennium as they begin, until all registrants have the cap applied; all registrants will have this cap applied by 1 January 2026. If your triennium finishes in either 2024 or 2025, this cap won’t apply for your current triennium.

This cap rollout will look as follows:

Stream 2 (2024 – 2026 triennium): cap is applicable immediately from 1 January 2024
Stream 3 (2025 – 2027 triennium): cap applicable from 1 January 2025
Stream 1 (2026 – 2028 triennium): cap applicable from 1 January 2026
