Accredited sonographers may wish to meet their CPD requirements by participating in the CPD program offered by their professional membership group. The approved CPD programs are run by ASA, ASMIRT and ASUM. Members selecting one of these alternate CPD programs must conform to its rules and regulations and it is the individual's responsibility to ensure that their records are current.
ASAR audits 10% of all accredited sonographers at the end of each ASAR triennium. Should an individual have logged points with ASA, ASMIRT or ASUM and be selected for audit by ASAR they have two (2) options:
1. Upload their CPD activities and supporting documents to their ASAR sonographer profile.
or,
2. Contact their CPD program provider and request a confirmation document/certificate indicating successful completion of their CPD requirements and upload to their ASAR profile.
Individuals in CPD default at the end of the triennium will enter ASAR's remediation process.
