For ASA members, all ASAR CPD requirements may be met through participation in the ASA CPD program. Members selecting this CPD program must conform to its rules and regulations, and it is the individual’s responsibility to ensure that their records are current.

ASA provides information to ASAR at the end of every individual’s triennium detailing whether the member has complied with ASAR’s CPD regulations of accruing a minimum of 40 points. ASAR has entered into an agreement with ASA that ASA will audit at least 10% of individuals completing their ASAR triennium every year against ASAR standards. Therefore, Sonographers must be aware of any program differences, for example, caps on points in particular areas.

Individuals in default at the end of the triennium will enter ASAR’s remediation procedures.
